Description
We provide shelter, safety and a positive future to girls who are victims of or at high risk for trafficking, sexual exploitation and abuse. Our holistic, upstream approach is based in prevention through education. In addition to our shelters, we run community development and outreach programs in the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand to fight human trafficking at its root.
History
Earlier this year we made an announcement about certain unforeseen challenges arising in 2014 and continuing to the present that resulted in systemic financial and organizational difficulties within the management of COSA. While we have held successful fundraisers and your continued support has helped us come this far, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that the Thai foundation side of COSA has announced the closing of BYS, and the immediate relocation of our girls. After six years of providing a safe home for at-risk girls, COSA as a both a Thai foundation governed by a Thai board, and as a separate US based 501(c) (3) organization with a separate board, will begin to formally dissolve immediately.
