Description
Fairfield Baptist Church shall provide opportunities for them to learn, teach, worship, witness for Christ, and to share the love of God both home and abroad.
History
Our Church was founded in 1885, by the Carol, Daniel, Durden and Mapp families. Rev. A.D. Freeman was given the awesome task to become the first pastor. The land in which the church was first erected was so fair, they decided to name the church, Fairfield.
During the one hundred and twenty-six years of existence in the Redan and Lithonia area as a place of worship, praise and service to God, four other men were called to shepherd this church family: Rev. A.C. Collins, Rev. Zack Brown, Rev. C.L. Nall and Rev. Micheal Benton. All strong men of God, proclaiming Jesus as Lord.
The church membership has grown over the years. Many have come from all over to make Fairfield their place of fellowship. To accommodate the growth, additional land was purchased and larger facilities were built.
