Description
Leadership Network’s role is to foster innovation movements that activate THE CHURCH to greater impact for the Glory of God’s name. They primarily conduct programs with innovative churches in the U.S., Canada and Europe at the present time.
History
In 1984, the Leadership Network was founded by Bob Buford and Fred Smith, Jr. in Tyler, Texas as a private, operating foundation. With the advice and counsel of Christian leaders and consultants, including author and management consultant, Peter Drucker, the foundation began by focusing on leaders from both mainline and evangelical as well as independent churches who are “islands of health and strength.” Leadership Network created opportunities for these churches and leaders to learn from each other and share their learnings with others. Two additional characteristics of participants in Leadership Network events include being a life long learner and someone who will make a difference in their particular setting.
What began in 1984 with 20 leaders now serves over 200,000 leaders all over the world.
