Patrick Henry Family Services exists to provide a continuum of services to distressed children, adults and families that will keep families together and children safe and successful.
Patrick Henry Family Services began with the original Patrick Henry Boys Plantation, a residential care facility for boys established in 1961. At that time there were facilities to care for only six boys. In the years that followed, additional cottages were constructed to expand the program, and in 1974, the decision was made to create other Patrick Henry facilities in other areas. Today, Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes are found throughout central Virginia in Brookneal, Bedford and Rustburg.
